on my bucket list of failios to fix first is hairline. second is eyebrows(microblading to fix), third is skin care (tretinoin, dermarolling to fix), fourth is probs teeth( to get wider palate since i can see like 6 and 1/2 teeth top teeth when i smile), after that i dont see myself having anymore insecurities

no i just picked hair of istanbul, because they do a lot of transplants for african americans but i would defo suggest to do research on the clinic
because black hair is harder to work with due to the root being curly

most definitely traction alopecia is 100% real, but usually, you would be able to feel the tension and know when your hair has been done too tight and can be avoided by just growing out longer hair to fit the hairstyle, but usually the hair grows back in mild cases

(update) had the day 1 procedure done there seemed to have been some miscommunication and wasn't done the way I wanted, the hairline wasn't lowered as asked and for some reason, they filled in my temples (and sideburns?) even after saying I was happy with them, the only positive is that my recession is gone, I honestly don't know what to do at this point, I have a lot of regrets and wish I didn't assume they understood what I wanted, tbh I just wanted to get it over with cuz i was really uncomfortable in the clinic on the day.
I could always get a second procedure to "fix" some of the problems but at this point, I don't even know anymore, I really hope my donor area and fue scars aren't visible but maybe even that's asking too much.
it was 2500 grafts btw but basically all of it went into parts of my head that still had a lot of hair jfl

i have retrograde alopecia so the entire side of my head is thin which is why i shave it short and my barber lines it up, that way it looks really good but what these people did was shave sides and implanted BEHIND my normal hairline for the temples, now the difference between thick transplanted hair and natural hair will probs be too great for me to do what i was doing so now i have a bigger forehead laterally which defeats the whole point, i have to either double down and get a second transplant to push it forward or live with the result i want to die so fucking bad, i spent months saving up and this is what happens
