Idk why I did this icl at first I just wanted to try it out and shit I was already in a caloric deficit but lowkey limiting sugar was hard as I kept binging on fruits yk

So I was like if It's hard for me to lower the intake, why not cut it as a whole

So I haven't eaten any refined sugars nor fruits for a whole month now as of today

and since the last week I was kind of doing a primal carnivore diet but I'm thinking of switching to a more ray peat like diet as it seems better in general and for sustainability

btw after the 2nd week of no-sugar I lost ALL my cravings for refined sugar and literally any type of sugar

I only had cravings for fruits once in a while while being dehydrated tbh

Would appreciate advice and thoughts

@Chad @SlayerJonas @Jason Voorhees @Aryan Incel @Nexom @Zagro

thoughts on the ray peat diet?

obviously I won't consume any refined or excess sugar though since I'm in a cut

At the end of the day the most important thing for a cut is having sufficient protein and being in a caloric deficit. It doesnโ€™t really matter how you do it, just pick what ever diet helps you to most easily achieve this

I lost weight eating sugar and carbs daily, the key is balance. Aim for carbs 150-300g/day from whole sources like oats, potatoes, fruits protein 1.6g/kg bodyweight and fiber 25-30g. Protein and calorie defecit are the main thing. My general advice is not to cut food groups unless intolerant but above all do what works for you and listen to your body. if you're a volume eater, load up on veggies,if you prefer denser meals, go for quality portions. No cookie-cutter diet exists, track energy/mood and adjust. Ray Peat diet is decent bevause it focuses on pro-metabolic foods which can work if sustainable, but pair it with your cut by monitoring calories.

Well diet seems to really affect mood and energy, It's easier for me to workout and do cardio while having good mood and energy.

I'm tracking my calories and am in a deficit either way.

Why not nigga
- was researching any cope method possible to justify eating slop legit 2 days ago
Someone sent it to me and it was interesting + it was not about eating slop retard it was just maintaining motor unit recuitment by signaling that you "ate" carbs , you don't even use any slop for this

i think carbohydrates are fine based on the seasons, meaning most of carbohydrate intake should be in the summer

ray peat diet completely falls apart because you won't be finding a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice in the dead of winter

but i think some berries, melons, seasonal fruit are great for hydration and can lower stress

personally, i cannot stop binging on fruits no matter what. i'm fine with everything else

fruit is just too good :FeelsStrongMan:

and what is wrong with that?

can't even answer why thats wrong lol.
just because our ancestors did that doesnโ€™t mean they were doing the best thing for energy and health

im also doing no sugar

sure man go ahead and eat 300 grams of sugar in winter, im not stopping you

you are not able to survive in nature if you are not healthy or have enough energy, point debunked
