Well actually there are levels to this and it actually depends on what you count as "life".

Some people just say something is alive when it breaths or his hearth pumps enough blood on his own, others take it by the biological definition of life... etc. The problem here is that if you allow abortion, where do you do draw the line on when is it permissible to kill a human being for your own benefit? It leads to very dark pathways. Also destroying a whole ecosystem is objectively bad as well.

We are individuals and as all the other species in the world they look out for their own species, it’s not like their life is more valuable than ours, it’s more about protecting our own species, our shared values, and the structures that allow human life to flourish

Where do you draw the line against abortion? Is throwing away sperm killing potential life. Saying smt can lead to problems if the future if we don't properly define it isn't an argument against anything.

Also nature is so varied that your appeal to nature fallacy isn't just fallacious but incorrect
