I dont know how to hold a conversation

I just realized I've only had a proper conversations online. I can talk just enough to not be a complete outcast irl,to have a job but it feels forced every single time.

Idk how to enjoy it cause even just keeping up the facade is hard af - when to ask questions? When to stop talking? How to answer the other person's questions to come across as interesting

I talk with myself frequently and I've been trying to implement the topics/phrases irl but it seems like I just can't come across as interesting to others even even if I intentionally try to bring up something controversial (politics,religion). I can't bait people around me

When I was 12-14 I was been very interested in the whole how to experience the best teenage life ever, including getting social. There was so much accent on being the one to start a convo to be the alpha. But it never seems to work no matter how "talkable" the topic I bring is

you kind of learn how to properly hold a conversation or talk to other people over months and years of experience if you ever had any irl realationships with a a girl for example when i was younger id let it flow and just try my best to keep the convo alive as ive gotten a bit older i realized it doesnt really work like that you have to put most of the effort in when your talking to somone start the convo, ask questions seem interested is the number 1 thing it doesnt matter if you fake every interaction its really not hard to make one and keep one going when you speak like you arent a antisocial loser just have confedience in the fact you have full power over that conversation you can choose where you want it to go whether that continuing the convo learning more or disengaging

You gotta be more narcissistic about it. Treat it more like a game where the objective is for you to get some type of satisfaction outta that convo, not the other way around

If you were an outcast your whole life and you're only interested in obscure topics just like the average weirdo, you're not gonna get along with an average person. I don't even know why you would want to in the first place. You're better off surrounding yourself with other like minded people
