Dogs are vastly more inteligent than cows. By that metric alone you can say they desrve a better life. Have you ever looked into the eyes of a dog and seen that it is inteligently observing you and trying to figure you out? You will see no such look in the eyes of a cow. Not to even go into the trainibility of dogs and how much love and exitement they show towards their owner.

Well let's use the example of modern day chickens instead of the cow. Do you think they'd survive in the modern world? I don't know exactly, I guess they wouldn't. This means they are just as dependant as dogs in that sense. Is this what you mean?

That is quite an extreme view but I get it. Besides, most people just like dogs on an instinctive level because they are cute and fun to play with. Hunters, truffle finders (me part time), police, shepherds, etc have a deeper appreciation for that animal because of their utility, inteligence, sharp senses, devotion and courage.

Most humans are bigger useless scum than dogs and I would never eat them out of pure disgust. I am no bleeding heart dog lover and have killed dogs when they have bothered me or my animals, but I love that animal, not blindly and every specimen but in general.
