They didn't get their ass whooped in Vietnam- they quit because they were fighting an enemy that didn't care about dying and wouldn't stop coming. if that were the case then the us air force wouldn't be like 95% desk work jfl. manpower is not an issue because of training (the us military is meeting most recruitment goals anyways).

you underestimate quality>quantity. there is a huge, major difference over someone with a comms, an m203 and acog who gets their shit kicked for 3 months, then goes off and does training every day than some retard shown how to pull the trigger on a shitty chinese AK once.

also the usa nuking vietnam would literally be suicidal, for international and domestic reputation.
