If you are doing it without side way force you are probably doing it wrong. I been mewing for more than 8 month and back and some middle parts of my palates suture is splitted.

Even than its mostly cope except raising hyoid bone and preventing further bad development anymore. You should get MSE to expand it laterally and bimax for forward growth.
