I don’t seem to sweat when working out

I can actually relate to that, I used to eat and drink like shit as a teenager but I was always underweight. I’m not athletic, though. I only started getting fat in my mid-twenties. I probably don’t have all good genetics like that, it’s likely a mixed bag. Some good and some bad.
probably average and ofcourse when youre young you have way better metabolism unless you have cooked up genetics so its easier to digest the food your eating and it not making you 'fat'

What’s your race bhaijaan? Some races sweat more than others, because they have larger sweat glands than others. Africans have the largest sweat glands, so they sweat more. On the other hand, Asians have the smallest sweat glands, so they sweat the least. Europeans are in-between.
don't rlly want to share exactly rn, but def not african or anything adjacent. By your info I shouldn't be sweating insanely much, like I do. But probably also dependent on my parents genetics n stuff. But I generally sweat alot also when not in hot temp or doing physical activities, that might be bc of anxiety.

Yes, someone basically said this. However, my main reason for wanting to sweat was the presumption that it would lead to higher fat loss, but that’s been debunked in this thread. I was thinking of starvemaxxing on rest days because I want to focus on weight loss, but that’s probably a bad idea, right? What do you think?
Not a bad idea in my opinion. Try it out for some time and if you still have enough energy in the gym, do that. However if you don’t have energy at the gym, you should eat.

Also yeah, sweating doesn’t mean fat loss. It’s not like you’re sweating fat, it’s 99% water.

Yes, metabolism rate is higher when you’re younger but it doesn’t change drastically when you get older, scientists found out relatively recently. The main reason why we get out of shape is because we become more sedentary than we used to be, and it makes sense. When I was young, I cycled to school everyday for at least half an hour, and I was walking around a lot as well, and obviously doing PE as well. It’s the lifestyle changes that affect us the most.

Which is a bad thing, because that leads to less fat loss. Any workout that I do is going to be intensive for me considering I’ve been sedentary for the last fifteen years. And yet I haven’t sweat so far, and it’s not for a lack of effort, either. I’ve been getting sore muscles, which obviously means I’m doing my best. I think the only way for me to lose weight properly is strictly through a diet, and working out is just for general fitness.

i started gymcelling last year than kinda got too lazy+busy to do as much and follow my split
but im so thankful to my genetics that i didn't really lose that much progress/muscle,
i just got skinnier from the chronic undereating, which is obviously not good for my age but comes from problems/conditions i've always had unfortunately:feelscry:

No, I start off with cardio first for ten minutes.
Maybe do Intensive workouts like maybe go boxing since I don't sweat in the gym either

Mirin your superior genetics. Unfortunately, I seem to only lose weight now if I starve myself. I thought perhaps I should starvemaxx today since it’s my rest day but I figured I should just eat anyway, I should go for a gradual weight loss instead of a quick one since I already have some loose skin from going from fat to skinny back to fat to skinny back to fat. :FeelsSadDitch:

I have germophobia so I cannot do contact sport, I did MMA back when I was 14 but it was only for a month. Didn’t have germophobia back then. Did see a naked guy in the shower though. :KEKLEO:

aha thank u bhai, for physique i've got decent genetics to be fair. natural lean muscle and my shoulder to width ratio is like 1.9x -2x
, now i know that seems non believable or like larp but i COULD be wrong. i got this from taking a snippet of a video of myself and measuring the pixelated width of shoulders and waist, and divided shoulders by waist. first time it was 1.95x, and i just did it now with a different video and got 2. videos are not edited. so this could be innacurate but thats just what i calculated.
for face ive got more mid genetics and had to put in a lot of effort to look decent but im still unhappy with it. so yeah.

yeah man true, to be fair, i dont have a working scale in my house so my measurements depend on that from the child adolescant mental health centre, where doctors/psychiatrists measure my stuff. Last time I went there in June I was 55.6kg. I remember how upset and disappointed I was because that was my gymcelling arc and I wanted to be 64kg by then after bulking up from 54 in June:lul: Dumb ass goal I didn't even need to bulk that much

And yea, I think a steady deficit and gradual loss is a good way to go will pay off with patience. Will help reduce loose skin for sure, especially paired with consistent training. mirin your committment bhai:FeelsLoveMan:

I don’t think it sounds like a LARP, because I’ve known some guys with really wide shoulders; so it’s not out of the question. Maybe you should try to measure your waist and then your shoulders at the center next time you go there. Man, you’re so lucky to be in the 50 kg range. Can you believe I was 59 kg in November 2024? And then I was 85 kg in November 2025. :FeelsWeakMan: It was from eating like shit, all bunch of goyslop, no movement whatsoever.

Alright. The only downside to a gradual improvement is that I have to keep going for probably a year to see real improvements. :FeelsSadDitch:

Oh well. It’s not like we will be drinking this everyday. But I heard zero versions of drinks are also dangerous because of the ingredient that they use. That’s why I cut off zero versions in general since recently.

No, I’m not trying to get to 5x kg, it’s just that at that weight (without training) my fat stomach is completely gone haha. I’m at your weight now, but right now I just want to get rid of my excess fat. I think I’ll end up in my 70s kg if I do everything properly.

Do you sprint or do intensive cardio? Or are you just talking about lifting. I don’t sweat a whole lot when lifting unless I’m wearing multiple layers. You should start ending your workouts with a 5-10 minute sprint or start doing shit like the bike or stairmaster, that will make you sweat for sure.

Anyway some advice :feelshmm:
Fat loss isn't impacted by sweating anyway, but I personally only sweat if I've drank a lot of water consistently for days and do an intense set.

The muscle soreness is DOMS (delayed onset muscle sorness). This happens a lot less after training a few times so keep it up :feelsgood:
