I used to think the whole "tall dark handsome" thing was legit, but going out and focusing on guys with really dark bordering black hair it just looks shitty and low class. I think the dark blonde/light brown range is ideal because it's a good balance with mass appeal. Just compare.

I agree with you, in principle, that a decent percentage of men do look "effeminate" regardless of hair color because of weak/feminine bone structure, frame, height, and whatnot.

However, assuming someone does not look "soft" and has masculine features, they will almost always look better with dark hair.

Take any blond celebrity that dyed their hair black/brown, and in most cases they start looking look more "masculine", "dominant", "mysterious", "dimorphic", etc. Pale skin with dark features creates that godly contrast most women lust for.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying that you can't have high SMV as a blonde guy, but in most scenarios I wager that dyeing hair to a darker pigment (or even going full dark) will boost your SMV. YMMV. You're once again however correct to say that it's not a dealbreaker if you're already attractive.

I remember there was this anime called hetalia that appealed to mostly foids that the internet used to talk about. My sister was into them and that's how I heard about it.

The Nordics, England and the USA were the most listed after countries by them. All blond.
