Parents only love the status that comes from having kids. Being admired by others for raising kids, telling others "my kids achieved this, this", etc., and feeling like you continued your lineage. But not the ... actual child. How he is, his personality, his wishes and desires, all mean nothing. He is only an object to achieve his parents' desire for social status.

I don’t know. Little kids are cute and innocent, most ppl (parents) think like this. But when they hit puberty they are very annoying.
Most people will have kids tho bc then they have something to do in their 30s - 50s and they probably hope that the kids will take care of them when they are old.
