I don't understand why I've had girls like me even though I'm definitely sub-5

I'm definitely not an attractive guy, and probably one of the worst looking guys in my friend group. It's not like a ton of women like me either, but within the past 3 years I've had like 5 people like me and I've been in two relationships. I think maybe people blow out of proportion how much looks affect things for you, even though it does matter a lot. Idk this whole post is pretty stupid I just don't really get why I have women like me even though I'm generally pretty ugly. The only thing I really have going for me is that I'm somewhat tall (5'10) but even then it's definitely not enough to save me. Anyone else have this happen to them?

attracting average women is not as hard as people think. Just look at all the average (and I don't mean that as an insult) girls' boyfriends and there is a sea of mediocrity.

The most important thing is social circle. If you're in university, if you're in a friend group, things are just infinitely easier.
