Anyone else like this? I think I was conditioned to be this way.

When I see someone else having a hard time it uplifts me, when my peers fail I feel better about myself.

Kinda? The high a lot of people get for being better of in a situation or something is natural. It's a positive reinforcement produced by the brain, so that the person in question strive to maintain himself in a positive situation and not get fucked over.

Feeding off other people misfortune is not inherently bad or jerkish, as long you are not the one producing said misfortune.

yes when I see someone around me crying or acting crazy it makes me want to be happy and normal to not be like that loser that's my thought process
