Yes but at what cost? I mean that argument could be used for people who use substances, i know its a crazy comparison. But if i have to use a coping mechanism to make me happy. It's better not to use a coping mechanism and be sad because you are aware who you are.
Don't get me wrong i fraud all the time, but i do it in private. I compliment myself. But in reality i know how i look and how i am.
