How does the average person still manage to feel content knowing that realistically, they’re going be spending the next 40 years working?
I’ve found it hard to make peace with this fact, even as somebody from a well off family. What is actually the point of anything if work must dominate our lives? The mind naturally prioritises what it spends the most time on, life was never intended to be “fun” as an adult.
The only hope I can think of is Christianity, I don’t know why this all makes me feel so nihilistic.
Does anyone here have a solution? Seems like other people my age are able to accept this so much more easily, like they’re blinded by ignorance.
