i know some guys that i consider intelligent that are religious and its rare but sometimes i can feel a slip up, sometimes its just a small millisecond but i can clearly feel it that they also think its bullshit, its probably just fear of not believing or just not wanting to suddenly change all of their beliefs since religion is an enormous thing in life
