Santa maria brand whole nuts? Does it matter if it's Santa maria produced in sweden or Santa maria produced in Finland?

I only remember once I tried nutmeg as a powder from some arab shop but I didn't get any effects.

If it's correct nutmeg is the effect really that good? Any science on how what neurotransmitters it effects?

Absolutely, it's a deliriant. I only took a total of one nutmeg today split into two doses, and I'm still very much feeling its effects. It's like a very cozy feeling and I get like tingling sensations. Music sounds good. Appetite feels suppressed.

There isn't all that much science to find on the web from what I've gathered, but I know that it gets converted to some sort of amphetamine in the body.

I don't think it matter if it's swedish or finish, but I know from experience that Santa Maria works well.

There definitely seems to be non-responders to it. I've heard from a few people irl and online say that they felt nothing, or they only got the unpleasant side effects like nausea and emotional discomfort. I really believe most of those people either didn't dose property (took too much/not enough/used bad product) or they didn't hydrate enough. Water is very important; it really drains you, especially if you go high.

Some people get better effects if they add MAO inhibitors. There's a recipe called Space Paste. I will post it just in case you're interested.

About dose
1 seems to work for me, but I'm sensitive to drugs in general. I wouldn't go higher than 2 tho', unless you're ready to be possibly overwhelmed and severely stoned for a full day. It's a very long lasting high

Chemistry
The main active substance is myristicin which is found in the eteric oil. There are others like elemicin, but myristicin seems to be primary compound.

Simply use a grinder and drink it with something that covers the taste a bit, like coffee. Some people use orange juice. Be sure to stir also because it tends to sink to the bottom.

Here's the recipe to potentiate and possibly alter the effects. Some people have compared it to MDMA/mmda or even LSD when using this preparation, and I've had decent success with it myself. I wouldn't say it was as good as something like ecstasy, but it was kind of similar.

Spoiler: Space Recipe

This is an interesting mix of legal herbs that is said to produce a very serious psychedelic trip. It's called "Space Jam" and "Space Paste". This recipe is all over the place with different names and even appears on Erowid.

4 parts nutmeg (ground from whole nutmeg)
4 parts almonds (soak overnight and rinse)
4 parts raw pistachios
2 parts cinnamon
1 part cumin
1 part tarragon
1 part oregano
1 part basil
1 part turmeric
1/2 part cayenne pepper
1/2 part black pepper
maple syrup (to taste)

Grind all the dry ingredients into a very fine powder. Add syrup and mix. About 2 tablespoons makes a "decent dose".

All ingredients need to be present. It’s said that if any one of the herbs are omitted, it doesn’t work well.

SWIM has never tried this but heard from quite a few reputable sources that it works.
