I feel like almost all these skincare products just fuck up your skin and hormones and do nothing but temporary results.

Ive tried so many different products to fix my skin. In general my skin is pretty clear but to get rid of imperfections, ive noticed that its just made my skin worse if anything. And they have all these weird ingredients and chemicals no one can fully explain. At the end of the day these are all companies trying to make money off us so it would make sense if they put stuff in their products to make us keep coming back.

Just get a simple cleanser
a light moisturizer with hyaluronic acid
tret or isotret every night
vit c serum

I'm going to save you a lot of time..

BEST OPTION IMOP
Accutane / Isotretinoin is going to nuke your acne and make your skin clear.

What it does:
Accutane/Isotret is going to shrink your sebaceous glands, and permanently reduce oil production.

Low Dose (10-20mg per day) = fewer side effect, but a longer duration
High Dose (40-60mg/day) = faster results, but more side effects

Pros:
Long term cure for most people
Eliminates cystic acne

Cons:
Dry lips, skin, and eyes
Liver strain (Use TUDCA or NAC to reduce liver strain)
Purge phase
Some people report depression as a side effect, but that's pretty uncommon

For dry lips: Vaseline Rosy Lip Balm (worked the best for me)

2ND BEST OPTION IMOP
Retinoids

What it does:
Promotes skin cell turnover, prevents clogged pores
Fade acne scars over time

Usage: Apply at night 2-3x per week

Pros:
Over the counter options

Cons:
Purge phase

3rd Best Option IMOP

Dutasteride: inhibits the 5AR enzyme (blocks DHT) Used by roidcels to prevent hairloss.
While also preventing hair loss it also prevents acne because DHT signals the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum.

Pros:
Listed above ^

Cons:
If in puberty, it can prevent penile growth.

GENERAL SKIN CARE

Cleanser:

Gentle cleanser, try to avoid harmful chemicals

Moisturizer:
Oil free, try to avoid harmful chemicals

Sunscreen:
High SPF, try to avoid harmful chemicals

FOR ACNE SCARS
Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Lasers
