Look into autophagy, It's triggered through fasting. Your body goes into a deep clean state, clearing out toxins and damaged cells and replacing them with new ones.

My mum used to tell me back in her days in South America people never had cancer it wasn't a common thing. So it's something in today's world be it the environment, lifestyle , pollutants , chemicals that's causing it.
