I have a bachelor's in finance and it's fucking useless. No one wants a recent finance graduate with zero experience, especially now. Even in pre-corona times when I was looking for jobs I could barely find anything entry level. Even if I had an MBA (Master's) it would be fucking useless because I have no experience.

Don't even know what the fuck to do now other than work at Walmart or learn how to cut hair and work at a barber shop...

I completed a 4 year degree in 3 years and paid like 500$ for textbooks and the rest was paid by my scholarship.

Most degrees are useless if you assess the utility of a degree by its ability to make you six figures

Establishing a good career requires a mixture of academic achievement, experience and sometimes contacts, just take whatever jobs you can get whilst you build up experience through internships or something

If you didn’t know, the first 2.5 years of college they make you take basic shit like history, English, etc and only in the last 1.5 years you take classes related to your major. In those 1.5 years all they taught me is the present and future value of money and that’s fucking it. Even if I went to Harvard I would be taught the same shit but maybe 20% more harder. Its a fucking meme. I asked all my classmates about it and they all feel the same.

I got it because it was free for me. I don’t have a passion in life and everything is really fucking boring to me but finance is the least boring subject that doesn’t require much brain power. I even got a 4.0 GPA because it didn’t bore me to death.

TBH, best thing you can do given the current job market is get a masters degree now. It sucks, but if you don't get a job related to your major within a year of graduating with a BS, even if everyone knows the job market sucks, your degree gets diminished in value.

Financial planning is a popular field, but people don't want some 23 year old doing their financial planning, they want a someone 40+
