I feel like my upper jar is forcing my lower jaw to be recessed

My lower jaw wants to naturally jut out more, but it can’t because then it wouldn’t fit with my upper teeth properly. Does this mean a recessed maxilla is causing my upper teeth to not be as forward as they are supposed to be, and thereby forcing my lower teeth/jaw to go more back than it is supposed to be?

I doubt you have a short maxilla in a front to back diameter since its really rare, you probably just have overbite, and yes jutting will out your mandible in a more natural position, its healthier for the tmj too

Yeah, my upper jaw has been lecturing my lower jaw about keeping in line with it, such conflict.

How do I do that? I’m thumb pulling but don’t see much happening. Should I get surgery? Would it be best to do so as soon as possible so that the rest of my face has more time to develop normally?
