i feel nostalgia because I feel I could of changed things

Every time I get a scent that reminds me of the past it makes me feel as if I could’ve done things differently it wouldn’t be so bad today. I create scenarios in my head but in the end they’ll never be seen again. Not one second of the hope and magic that life used to have will be lived. I guess the nostalgia comes from the fact that I see no hope in the future. I wanted things to go a certain way and I don’t see any other way being as good as I thought it would.
