I feel short at 6'2

Height is so weird to me.

I'm objectively 6'1.5, 6'2 on a good day.

But one of my autistic tendencies is that I compare height with everyone I walk past.
So even though I'm objectively pretty tall, it feels like soooo many people are taller than me in the school hallway.

Is it because I only remember the ones that are taller than me?
Is it because I'm bad at comparing height just by looking at them when close?
Is it some mental thing where I make myself smaller because I'm insecure or something?

Maybe a mix of all of them

The only reason you feel this way is because you’re not at a height level that would give you a height halo. Which is probably several inches taller than that height.

Thus, you feel tall, but not impressively tall.

I'm the same height and feel quite tall in an area where the average is about 5'10-5'10.5 or so. I get comments every so often on it.

Unless you're in somewhere like, the Netherlands, Dinarics or Scandinavia (even in all of those you're above average, just not tall) you're tall.

It mostly comes down to ignoring those who don't heightmog you, since most people don't at your height, they blend in, and the outliers that stick out and DO heightmog you are instantly noticed since they literally physically stick out.

You also might be comparing your eye level to the top of other people's heads? The vast majority of adults heads are 10-13 cm taller than their eye level
