I've made threads on this before, I'll like the most recent one:
UPDATE:
She has broken up with her boyfriend, and she has seemingly become much more enthusiastic when texting me. She sends voice messages, snaps almost daily, and sometimes texts in all caps—though she can be dry on other occasions (My friends tell me most if not all girls fluctuate like this, unless you're chad
)
Regardless, we met up with another mutual friend for the first time and got drunk together. It was a genuinely fun and enjoyable evening. I don't usually like to go out with people, especially with new people. She also came across as a remarkably kind and caring person. Since then, I've become fully infatuated with her. I'm not interested in hookup culture or superficial dynamics, so if she can't reciprocate, I'll be genuinely devastated.
Being ND, I have to take time to calculate my responses to avoid missing social cues—which I still frequently do. The alcohol was a godsend when we first met; it made me mega low inhib. I could say anything I want without giving it any second thoughts or over-analysing.
Now that school is starting again, I'm unsure how to ask her to hang out again or how to proceed. I'm essentially blind to social signals, so I have no gauge of her actual feelings toward me. I also suffer from analysis paralysis in nearly every aspect of life, and this situation exacerbates it significantly.
This level of infatuation is very new to me. I've obviously been attracted to other girls before, but never like this.
I'd love any advice.
