I’m getting braces on the 26th this month.
Let’s go.

Mother said I have to work for my Palate expander and it cost a few thousand but I can grind that in a few months hopefully.

I also have recently followed the teeth whitening BOTB and it’s working man.
Painful as hell but hey I’ll take it I went about 5 shades whiter.

Get a toothpaste to remineralize the enamel, you are more prone to cavities now

Did your ortho tell you if you needed to do one before the other or if you can do both at the same time?

I assume you already talked about this with your orthodontist, because im not sure but ive seen most people doing palate expanders first and then braces, maybe for a specific reason

Well tbh the braces will naturally expand the Palate and I will probably try ask for one that will expand my palate a bit more.

Basically my Palate and muscle/Bones and diet are the things I’m changing the most

I have an underbite situation going on so I’ll probably get that fixed.

My looks will probably be better.

Imma go follow the BOTB threads on natural testosterone maxing and widening my frame next as I have started going gym.
I should take there supplements but since I’m a teenager my GH is decent.

Imma try get blood work done this summer and work from they’re

Frame widening will take a bit I wish I started Gym when I was 16 instead of now but it’s better late than never I suppose

I’ll probably hop on some peptides after my first 2 years when I’m 19 or maybe when I’m 20.
In the mean time I’ll take the other supplements that aren’t roids or peptides or SARM’s

Finally done something that will help my looks in the long run.

Mewing if probably cope but I’m doing it right now can’t lie just because.

Since my Mandible is probably the worst part and my Maxilla second this will probably help.

I was just worried at the thought that you didnt specify to your ortho that you planned on getting a palate expander in the future, because what usually happens is that people put braces after a palate expander to realign the teeth, since the expansion should leave a gap between the front incisors and need realignment.

ChatGPT:
You should get palate expansion before getting braces—and here’s why:

---

✅ Correct Order: Palate Expander ➝ Braces

1. Palate Expansion First

Palate expanders widen the upper jaw.

This creates space for crowded teeth and helps correct crossbites or narrow arches.

If you put braces on before expanding the palate, the movement of teeth may be undone or complicated by the expansion process.

2. Braces Afterward

Once the palate is widened, braces are applied to align the teeth precisely into their final positions.

With more space now available, braces can work more efficiently and effectively.

---

🦷 Why Timing Matters:

Doing palate expansion first reduces the risk of:

Tooth relapse

Improper alignment

Longer treatment time

This sequence is especially important in growing children or teens, whose bones are still flexible.

---

👨‍⚕️ Final Advice:

Always follow the specific recommendation of your orthodontist—they may tailor your plan based on your age, growth stage, and jaw structure. But in general, expansion comes before braces.

I think my ortho knows my situation is different but yeah I’m not really the smartest but he did say that it would be mostly like that but not really for me
