damn mirin. I waterfast once a week but I still break it with carbohydrate rich food. Next time wont do it i supposeWhen someone is malnourished. Their body adapts to a low-energy state and body relies on fat and protein for energy.Once food is reintroduced, especially carbohydrates. Insulin levels spike. Cells suddenly take in glucose, phosphate, potassium, and magnesium from the blood.This leads to severe electrolyte imbalances and can cause heart failure. I actually got tested for insulin once during fasted state it was abysmally low. My doctor even told me not to fast like this so I didn't do prolonged fast like OP but still lost over 20 kgs and still maintained most of my muscle and strength in lifts

I went from 104 kgs to 86 kgs
Just weighted myself this morning and im 86 kgs now. Lost almost 20 kilos in 8-9 months. Till 90-92 kgs it was relatively easy but after that I kept hitting weight plateaus because my body lowered my metabolism to cope with being starved for so long which slowed me down significantly.
