I finally got over my break up but

It took about 5 weeks for me to get over my last relationship. And I feel much better despite having no options with other girls.

In those 5 weeks I drank gallons of alcohol and smoked a pack a day and was extremely sad and depressed. I am thankful that that's over now, although another depressive episode is likely around the corner because I am predisposed to this stuff as a guy with high neuroticism.


I now have a new problem. As a guy who easily gets infatuated with women and, sure enough, falls in love quickly, I handle rejections and lack of reciprocity very badly. I don't go ER but I am self destructive and I miss great opportunities because I see no point in doing things.

I'm kinda stuck. I don't want to get rejected again.

its been 4 years and i havent gotten over my gf. we dated for 5 months and it wasnt that serious but still
