I agree that sober coping is the best kind of coping. I am used to sober coping but I just wanted a faster way out of things but that’s not the way to go especially if it doesn’t even help you in the long run.

I actually stumbled upon PUAhate I think at the time because the threads were all shitting on PUA (this was 2011 I believe or perhaps 2012). Then after Elliot Rodger went ER it was shut down. I stumbled upon the forum twice but never registered. It wasn’t what I was looking for at the time. I knew about Sluthate later but I never joined either. I only joined Lookism in October 2017. This was during the time I found r/incels and became a part of the incelosphere formally for the first time. I stumbled upon r/incels through r/horror because someone was bashing someone for posting on there. My curiosity got the better of me and I checked it out. Guys talking how they were ugly and rejected because of this… it was completely new to me and I felt at home. Until that point I heard “looks don’t matter!” Glad I joined.
