Don't like getting cat called/complimented in public.
Earlier today I was at a concert sitting in the row behind a girl, and noticed her trying to sneak a photo of me with the selfie cam. Had a friend next to me too but the poor guy is ricecel so I know she wasn't focusing on him. Anyway, I saw the stupid caption she wrote so I know she'd taken it because she thought I was decent looking.
Now, this is not a humble brag for one crucial reason: she was unattractive. As in, solid LTB territory. This was also the first time this had happened to me. Before, I used to always think it would be great if I got objectified like a woman - isn't that why many of us looksmax, for public validation? But all I felt in that moment was slightly uncomfortable, almost like if I'd just seen a cockroach scuttling across the floor at a restaurant.
Fundamentally, validation from unattractive people isn't fulfilling at all. And by and large, those are the kinds of people women get public attention from. Of course, this will be different if it's HTN or above giving the woman attention, just like I'm sure I'd have felt good if a HTB+ had snuck the photo of me. But generally, that isn't how it works.
Tldr: I slightly empathise with women who dislike receiving public attention, and find it to be less of an incentive to looksmax than before. I will still continue my journey, but I think a lot of the motivation will have to come from personal fulfillment instead.
Feel free to tell me I'm retarded though - you're probably right either way.
