i usually dont listen to her, but this lyric from her song „Shades Of Cool“ made me think.

„And when he calls, he calls for me and not for you“

„He prays for love, he prays for peace, and maybe someone new„

First off, we establish that the love interest loves someone else but her, to the point that if he was in some sort of situation, he‘d instinctivly call for someone else but her.
So shes the 2nd option.

Then, we find out he isnt a bad person at all, he prays for peace and for love, what basically all humans want.
He also prays for someone new.

This shows that, just because a person doesnt love or like you, they arent a bad person.

Their life and karma is comepletly seperate from yours. Just because they hurt you, they arent a bad person
