My dad told me he didnt even own a phone until he was 26 and got his first mobile phone in 90s which thr comapny gave it to him. Idk why but this is crazy to me because I spend so much time on my phone it's basically an extension of me. Imagine going through school, making plans, or even just passing time without one. My dad's first phone was Nokia 5110. Found it the other day going through the attic

My dad even now just has a screen on time of like a couple of hours at best. He just uses his phone to call and text that's it.

Nokias are more durable and longer lasting than iPhones lmao, my iphones die after 2-3 years of use.

My dad tells me it was a huge flex to own a Nokia 5110 because 99% of people only used landlines and only the businesses and wealthy could afford mobile phone.

It is a flex, most people use telephones and landlines at best. Its even more impressive to have a cellphone in India, most people even in the US had to use landlines.
