It’s so depressing that I can’t see things with my imagination… I think I could as a kid, but somewhere along the way I lost this ability. That’s why I don’t read so much anymore. Sad. That’s why all of the imagination exercises at school seemed pointless to me.

But surely a good percentage of people experience the same boring world as me, right?

Is it untreatable?
When i use imagination it feels like what is visualised is above my view, idk
You gotta try and try to stop having it try to use imagination

at least dexter is getting another season
i actually didnt mind the original ending but yeah i saw that, im excited! i was way late to the party, started watching dexter in 2016 or 2017. was epic.

The way to train it is reading fiction

Mine is certainly low as well tbh

That would explain why I'm not creative at all, at least I'm good at copying others' work and improve it to make it better and take the credit

It's not that hard to tell. I close my eyes, try to imagine something and see nothing but blackness. I don't need a shrink to give me the news.

im on the opposite side of the spectrum, i suffer from intrusive thoughts and images, meaning i get unwanted things in my head. id trade places with you if i could. i cant even masturbate without porn because ill suddenly see an image of a friend or a teacher in my head jfl (@sytyl this is why im a degen who cant quit porn @streege @brbbrah @Salludon @Dante1 )

You can train it
I will start to practice my imagination intensely. I remember as a kid I was really scared of demons and whenever I closed my eyes I would see demons and I think my brain blocked this imagery ability as a coping mechanism because it was frightening me, so perhaps I can deprogram myself and start seeing things again.

Like so dissapointing that I wish I hadn't watched the show dissapointing?
not at all but as show moves on plot armor increases and the appeal of the show in sense of it being realistic fades
still while it wasn't satisfying and all culminating but show is an enjoyable expirience by itself and even the last season had very good hype moments
its just that it was very awaited and failed to deliver on expectations

watch the show tho its great you wont regret it

Is that why I don't have dreams frequently? I usually have a dream once a month or something like that.

I see the blackness AND the image, but the image is not constant, it's like I see fragments. I don't even know how to explain.
