I was using a crap translator app where you had to press a button and wait, then switch languages every time the girl responds. Needless to say it was a pain in the ass. It also had ads. This inconvenience is enough to destroy a relationship with a girl who doesn't speak English because it makes communication annoying.
Simply download Google translate app instead, then use the conversation mode. You can speak freely and the mic can even pick up the whole conversation if the phone is a distance away on a table. It makes communication with a girl who don't speak English effortless, and you don't even need to learn each other's languages.
