I fucking hate this stupid goddamn book. It's the most surface-level mid-wit philosophy and "machiavellian manipulation tactics" that I've ever seen. This book was made for frat bros to skim through and make themselves feel like manipulation masterminds. In reality, most of all the information and tactics that are in the book will not work and even if they do it will amount to nothing since the ACTUAL law of manipulation is that everything will unveil eventually. And let's be honest most of the people reading this book aren't too smart just knowing the tactics won't amount to anything it entirely relies on the reader to be able to implement the laws. Anyone with a rudimentary level of knowledge in philosophy and psychology will be able to tell when someone is doing it. It's an OKAY introductory book into psychology however if you actually want to be proficient in "manipulation" to put it in layman's terms you would need an extensive education in psychology and you would need to read multiple books pertaining to the subject. In short, Robert Greene wrote this book for college students who are obsessed with "self-improvement" and the need to feel smarter than they are.

In fact, I'd argue that "manipulation" is largely a tool for idiots. Genuinely smart people don't need "manipulation" they have the power to convince you logically without the need for mental trickery.

My friend recommended it and it was pretty easy to read. I mean the book is written at a 5th-grade reading level so I finished it in like two days lmao.

It's the perfect book for redpillers. Its easy enough to read to where any average guy can digest it and it makes them feel a sense of intellectual superiority over other people which is exactly why most people join the "red pill"

I didn't get it like all of that shit should have been known on a subconscious level. if you took a psychology class in middle school you would understand all of it on a fundamental level:lul:

Tbh a good introductory book

It’s methods are mostly “leverages” though. Nothing will work if you have no importance

May even help some 95 IQ jock to abuse some mtb better

But generally, if someone likes that book - I know that they are about 2 SD’s iq lower than me

It's just a collection of entertaining historical anecdotes but with little practical use for average people, most of the stories there are about kings, nobles, politicians, businessmen, celebrities, billionaires, etc. - people who are already at the top, have status and money, if you're a nobody there's nothing there that you could apply in real life that would somehow allow you to manipulate people - it all boils down to your looks/status/money, if you're low on these there are no magic tactics you could apply to elevate yourself.
