From experience, interactions in school may be platonic aka when you talk to girl, she won't think you want to fuck her so it is easier to get friends there. When you are an adult EVERY interaction you have with females she will think you want to fuck her so she will reject you if you are ugly. I was fat fuck till I was 19 and I had friends, even females liked me platonic way. Then I went into adulthood, started gyming and it wasn't as easy to get friends. Rambling of a man in his early 30s btw.
