I’ve vented irl to my parents and a shrink but very rarely to my friends. I’ve always known that they can’t solve my own problems for me. I thought that was common knowledge but apparently not. Idk maybe that was just the way I was raised or something.

Yea it's takes a toll on a person if he has to hear someone vent constantly they'll end up feeling like a emotional dumpster at some point if someone does that constantly venting to someone once in a while is probably good tho although I don't think I have ever vented to anyone irl not my parents aswell js a few people online during these few months about a particular thing
