I’m 17 and I get lawsuit money in the next few months-a year. I’m not sure exact amount but it’s within the range I mentioned, (I know there’s a big difference) basically any advice for what to do? I was thinking just investing most in SAP 500 but that’s around 10 percent gain a year. Is there any better ways?

i would gamble the 2% in casinos, so lets say uh u get 100k 2% is 2k so id like keep 500 for betting on sports and 1500 for normal casino, then for the sports bet id copy people on telegram that bet alot ( i saw sm1 like win over 5k with 200 5 times in a row in sum channel ) and id like do 100 and play blackjack prob

Start a Roth IRA, contribute the max of 7.5k or similar,

Contribute 10-20k to a brokerage account (Index fund ETFs and stocks you believe will grow)

Bank or play with the rest to get you ahead in life.

put aside like 10k for travelling for the next 2-3 years. Then put 125,000 in S&P 500, 15k in your bank

If ur young and you have risk tolerance you can invest in more risky stuff, but IMO put the vast majority into index funds and find another way to make money, it's too time-consuming to pick stocks

Stocks until you're 19, build it up to 300k. Then get 30 year house mortgage and buy a house worth 1.2m USD in a place like Ohio, Florida or Atlanta. The average income of rent will be 7500-8500 USD and your monthly cost including P&I + Insurance is 8k USD.

In the US, average house value increase a year is %5.

What this does is that you'll just put 300k USD and get a house, your renter will pay the debt for you while your household value goes up so you're getting yearly %5 profit just from the value increase due to inflation. In 10 years your net value with your 300k USD investment becomes 1.2m USD clean profit while you still hold the house and get a monthly income from renter. You can keep doing this while you're growing + avoid tax with getting a real estate agent certificate.
