I got a prescription for Ritalin

Firstly, I would like to start this post off by saying, it's very telling how when I went to female nurse practitioners, these bitches would never want to help treat my ADD, instead giving me some bullshit anxiety lowering blood pressure drugs, or referring me to therapy.

Now I had an appointment with a MALE and it went well, he prescribed me a low dose of @Ritalincel (5mg). Honestly these pills are fucking tinier than @thecel dick

I still haven't gotten what I need, which is amphetamines (Adderall) but this is a step towards the right direction. My only complaint is that these are generics instead of brand name. Generic drug companies pretty much just sit around waiting for patents to expire. They even start production in advance so they can start selling as soon as they can. They don't spend nearly as much on innovation and clinical testing.

I'm not too fond on Ritalin, these are the same pills that would make me withdrawn at school, but yeah we'll see.

Finally got a stimulant after almost 3 years of trying.

doctors start you off at low doses who don't even work to get you used to the medication and prevent side effects like anxiety, it's pretty pointless but they're scared of stimulants he should increase it after a few weeks

could it be possible that methylphenidates are worse than amphetamines for the heart? I didn't get these effects on vyvanse but I can't be physically active at all on concerta it's a bit scary I don't wanna drop dead

Idk how the small ones work but yeah 20 mg shouldn't hurt you...

Although I doubt that will work if they just gave you 90 day supply. If you run out of your medication before a certain time they never refill early.

Last year I got water in my pill case ruined a bunch of meds. Even after explaining it to my personal doctor who knew me since I was 8 he said there is nothing he can do for security reasons. So you could take 2 or 4 in a day but you will run out very fast.

Try getting a formal diagnosis and even then it might take a bit they are hesitant with new people.

I am going to buy some modafinil I heard it words well with ritalin and can even be an alternative so maybe try that

Never had this effect. But it does feel like your heart is rushing because of anxiety which gives you the illusion of this. I did once have trouble breathing when I drank 300 mg of caffiene + 75 mg of ritalin but I really overdid it.

Ritalin is one of those drugs that after a certain point it will not help you if I go above 60 my anxiety is so high I can't do anything but lay down. Also if you start doing a task like watching porn it will take you hours to stop.

Normally I watch porn jerk off then its gone but on ritalin I get hyper obsessed on doing it also jerking off reduces stress and ritalin makes me stressed so it relieves the effects. Its such a weird feeling. So if you take a high dose whatever you do don't touch porn otherwise you will keep doing it for hours

I don't even think it makes sex drive higher it just makes the dopamine from porn stronger. Adderall makes every task more rewarding so doing math goes from being boring to doable if you do something like watch porn its 4X more stimulating.

Do you feel like your a serious underachiever if you do it might be worth it if your just a little lazy then probably better to deal with it yourself

Adderall is a good bandage but you gotta ask will you be better off in 10 years I've taken it for 10 years so I have no way of knowing if I would be better or not but I think it did not solve my issues and for every issue it solved it created new ones. Adhd meds did not solve the root issue its sort of like a painkiller but at the end of the day the thing causing you pain exists your just numb to it

i'm sorry to hear that and I hope it will get better for you. It's sad there is still nothing else being developed for adhd, but we could have lived in much worse times.

I need jaw surgery and possibly mse too, even though my wisdom teeth don't cause issues yet, at least I don't think they do ( I had/have inflamed gums but no pain, so could be from something else ), and that makes me think my palate size is adequate. I need braces too though. I also have a 10-12 teeth smile.

I always had breathing difficulties and issues with falling asleep, but no idea about snoring. Considering I have an overbite it's likely I have sleep apnea.

Yes definitely, its known in medical literature that amphetamines are worse for your brain but phenidatates are very safe brain wise but not so much for your heart. I never had problems with amphetamines in the gym, in fact they gave me endurance but phenidates make me take super deep breathes after every set of compounds

Also my lifts are worse on ritalin, the extreme vasoconstricion causes my muscles to not recieve as much glucose, sodium and oxygen so i never lift as much as when completely sober. But for some strange reasons amphetamine made me lift easier. I believe the insane CNS boost that amphetamine gives outweighs the poor oxygenation of muslces.

Yeah a lot of people with ADHD have sleep apnea later in life the symptoms of shit sleep and ADHD are nearly identical.

A normie who gets less then 3 hours of sleep performs the same as an ADHD person on a normal day. So it makes me wonder if sleep is the issue. MSE will hopefully help.

Like ritalin is a bandage in the long run it will not resolve your issues is what I've always thought.

depends if its extended but its lasts 8 hours a day and it has a half life so maybe 12 hours but the last 4 hours

Never abused the amphetamines i did a year ago but i did abuse ritalin definitely, i liked the first 30 minutes rush too much and the comedown sucks (currently on ritalin, 2 hours passed, should have bad comedown but feel good actually cause thankfully i forced myself to eat 5 eggs and 600g potatoes with grapes and milk, probably got a good boost of magnesium from the potatoes and calcium calmed my heart *Ca++ ions make Na+ channels less sensitive, so you are less excited)

First, dosage isn't dependent on weight/height. Everyone's brain has a different dosage. Second, 10mg of Adderall is like 20mg of Ritalin, you don't need that much. 5mg of Ritalin is strong if you haven't taken a stimulant before.

Your doctor just doesn't know how to properly dose then. Stimulants effect the brain and all current evidence says it has nothing to do with height and weight. He probably asks for height and weight to figure out BMI in case of too much weight loss.
