I got a Rhinoplasty 4 days ago (update + pics)

I went to a maxillo-facial surgeon in California. Luckily for me I live here so the surgery was just a drive away.

Simply, this recovery has not been easy. I broke my nose 2 years ago playing basketball so my breathing was fucked and my nose was extremely deviated. Typically rhinoplasty takes 2 hours, which is about how long the surgeon told me mine would be. Ended up being 4 fucking hours (this resulted in much more pain and swelling, the pain meds they gave me have not been enough and I’ve had to go to the fucking ER to get injections just to be able to sleep KMS)

This will definetly be worth it in the end but holy shit this has been depressing and very painful.

The swelling is obviously really bad; here’s some media I took right after surgery that shows what I looked like before a lot of the swelling appeared

Overall, the surgeon did an amazing job, it was a very tough surgery though as my nose was fucked before. I think I put my photos from before in the thread i linked (which also has a link to more photos lol) so after this recovery I think I’ll ascend a full psl point (LFG) but the recovery has been FUCKED.

However it was my biggest failo. Every looksmaxxer that isn’t a retard knows what they need to do to ascend. This was definetly the main piece to the puzzle. I think I will ascend a psl point from this but it’s not the “finishing touch”

It sucked because I do have a good eye area and a wide mouth (Mediterranean pheno)

My fucked nose took away the beauty of those features. I believe with a perfect nose it will ascend me a lot. Mirin your positivity and iq

Nose was my only ratio that was fucked. It was far too wide, along with crooked.

I do have a recessed mandible, but recession isn’t everything, just look at chico

I also have Jbw halo and with being white comes with a good maxilla, which I have and good orbitals. I do need to lose bf % tho. After this hardmax my only facial failo is probably recessed mandible. May get genio JFL

Elastics class 2 and self ligating braces
Already have elastics class 1 to fix a bit of crooked teeth [I have very light crowding] and then straight to class 2. I also have self ligating installed

I broke my nose twice so I don’t know if it gets much worse then mine, but yeah bro it’s gonna be the worst recovery of your life. You’re gonna lose sleep and hate your life. I’m around 100 hours post op rn and it’s still bad but those first 3 days were miserable

i just noticed after checking again. Looked normal to me. Couldn‘t even tell it was broken. I doubt the after result in a few months is even gonna be a big difference.

I can pm you more pictures those don’t really show the true brutality of it. My nose was deviated to a side severely along with it being far too wide, like ethnic wide. Especially upon smiling. I did all the facial ratio calculators bs and everyone had my nose tanking my harmony like hell LMAOO
