okay i think that hypergamy can be justified only to an extent this applies to males with good dimorphism but first what is dimorphism. Dimorphism is the existence of two distinct forms, shapes, or colors within the same species or substance. Some example include male lions having manes and male peacocks having beautiful features ment to attract possible mates beautiful or ugly and dimorphism is seen all over nature, now lets look at human dimorphism
Women characteristics: softer feature chubbier cheeks shorter build long hair etc but what is the most popular female product? its make up, makeup changes a women's dimorphism making them look more desirable and more attractive to men even though they are ugly without it
Male characteristics: men have sharper more angular features sharp jawline hunter eyes hollow cheeks now why does this matter well. Sharper, more angular facial features result in higher sexual dimorphism because they act as reliable indicators of sex-specific hormonal influences during puberty, particularly testosterone making women more attracted to men
