I got called out for being insecure

Anytime someone wants to take a photo of me I usually ask not to or if it’s like a candid I will reflexively cover my face. Makes me look super insecure

I finally got called out on it the other day. I was chilling with some friends we were having a good time and I was somewhat drunk, this one chick started taking a video and I started covering my face and tried to play it off by laughing.

Later she texted and asked why I don’t like being in photos and asked if it was because I was insecure. I told her I’d rather not talk about it and she kept pressing for answers and shit. Made me feel even fucking worse knowing all my friends probably know I’m insecure. I used to be able to play it off but I can’t really anymore now. seriously, what the fuck is it with normies and their photos? If I’m asking not to be in it, should be the end of story

Yes it’s mostly mental, if I just relaxed and tried to appear decent it wouldn’t go so bad but I also have a few unique issues.

This may sound like cope, but my flaws are VERY magnified more then most in photos, long midface, bad smile(no upper lip), and UEE. Even worse if it’s from the side

I’d welcome the camera if I could pose and chose the angle myself lol…

That’s the real issue for me, I can’t look good in most spontaneous photos
