My mom gets mad when I bring up trying to make money online she’s frankly quite bizarre and illogical

bruh that sounds like my mom tbh.

not when it comes to making money but to other ideas that I have. I feel like my is always trying to stunt my progress tbh. when I told my mom I was going to study marine biology she went batshit crazy on me because she wanted me to be a doctor or surgeon. she also would never help me when I used to code games and wanted to publish them when I was like 12-13 years old.

my mom is super religious and she restricted me from a bunch of shit including hanging out with school friends. she sent to a catholic school which was one of the worst experiences in my life until I got homeschooled in the 6th grade. its weird because she had a bad experience when she had gone to a catholic school herself. I think she gets it from my grandma tbh. my grandma was even more restrictive than her when it came to parenting. wouldn't even let her see a movie pg rated movie when my mom was 14 because she thought that would be too grown up for her. its crazy because they are from Sweden and most people I know form their had very chill parents lol.

the best thing about her though is that she make 800k a year as the head of a hospital and university. gave me a much better life than what she had.

I swear it's a generational thing. most bad parents had bad or worse parents themselves and they carry that onto their kids.

my dad was more chill despite having an even worse upbringing though. his mom was super abusive and used to abuse physically and mentally everyday of his childhood along with his sister. despite all of that he took care of her in her older years. unfortunately he passed away when I was 13 years old.
