This might be a dumb question but i went to the dermatologist today and they prescribed tret instead of accutane. I heard tret is way worse than accutane and i dont know what to do or how to get prescribed accutane.

Tret isn’t worse than accutane, just different. It is usually the first thing derms try since it is safer.
accutane is much stronger with more side effects, so they only give it if acne is really bad.
Your derm just started you on the normal first step. Try it for a bit, then ask again if it doesnt work.

Accutane is prescribed if you have severe acne and also Accutane have many side effects especially if youre pregnant
