i've booked to see another ortho to see if theres any option for pallet expansion, over extraction
if im offered the choice of expansion i'll take it
but if they still want to rip out 4 teeth i think il live with like 1-2mm of bimaxillary protrusion

idk much about this tbh, extraction might be necessary if you have protrusion but taking all of your premolars out sounds like too much, for sure will recess you and make your pallet smaller

get a 2nd or maybe even 3rd opinion, don't just agree to the first ortho opinion cause they're muhh professionals
a lot of these guys don't have your best interest at heart, whether that's on purpose or not idk
at the end of the day they want money, so the fastest easiest route is what they will opt for

i feel like extracting all 4 of my premolars is kinda exessive for my case, the protrusion isnt bad my lips can sit closed comfortably and i've seen cases where they've done the extraction on people w my amount of protrusion and they've turned out looking kinda putrid

so il be getting another ortho to have a look later in the month

the only problem is my teeth aesthetics in the long run, do i sacrifice my lower third for a better smile

Do some research on this site and find an ortho/maxilliofacial surgeon that will focus on expansion
