It's not too confusing, I'd say the structure and plot are pretty simple once you realize what it's about.

yeah more or less. the film is quite literal even in the dialogues or images. To a large extent it is a film about human loneliness and whether you can be happy without any “masters“ in your life, whether it's a woman, an addiction, a friend, your boss or whole society
