Why do you even believe looks matter then? Surely it'd be better to fully delude yourself into believing we live in some la-la-land in which only your personality matters?

If the truth is on your side you are more stable. Deluding yourself and living in a lie can only work for so long. People will, sooner or later, let you know that you are not beautiful... in a very, very cruel way.
