I was reading my mom's records of the time I was a baby, and, according to them, my hair was a mix between brown and blonde

I remember reading somewhere that, the genes that control brown hair, skin tone light/dark eyes pigmentation (eumelanin) do not "turn on" until a certain age.

this is why alot of kids who have light hair grow up into adulthood with brown or black hair and darker skin.
