I ate protein around my bodyweight growing up which is more than enough for genetic expression as twin studies for different upbringing environments have been done and there was hardly any difference unless someone was seriously malnourished. If u ate protein like a bodybuilder as compared to bodyweight maybe u have had 1-5% better results, which is unnoticeable in a subjective level.
