I remember maybe a year ago I was kinda seeing this girl, we had kissed a few times but nothing too serious. I wanted to take it further and start properly talking but the her friend texted me and said she doesn’t want to be with me because I’m too awkward. I understand that tho because I can’t maintain eye contact with a girl for more than a few seconds unless I know them very well. Also whenever I’m with them I can’t think of anything to say and it’s just very boring for me and them. As soon as a girl starts talking to me my mind just goes blank and all I can say is dry shit like yes and no. It was a shame because that girl was slightly above my league aswell. I’m not sure if she stopped seeing me be I was too awkward or just because it was an excuse for my looks.

Best way is to keep dragging the conversation. First you say some shit like "Huh" and then ask why/what/where etc, otherwise just explain why/what/where.

Best way is to not look at their direction and focus on body language. Like if you're talking to someone just look at your hands while they do the work.
