He also wants to start hiit

and he will never choose to, so you need to make that choice for him, its in your control not his (addicts are out of control and need people to make decisions for them, whether they like it or not)

give yourself a deadline, like if it hasn't changed by February 2021, just smash it the fuck up with your foot. and of course dont let him know you have this internal deadline, dont lets im know the computers getting smashed until he sees it on the floor in pieces.
