I suffer from non verbal learning disorder which cripples mathematical reasoning and things that require fine motor control skills. I was struggling with math a LOT as a kid, more than anyone else and what did my parents do about it? They beat me up and called me stupid. The teachers suggested them that I go to a school for "special" kids but they were too proud to accept that their son is retarded. So they kept forcing me through normal education and beat me up every time I failed.
I still remember hiding math tests from my mother because my grades are bottom tier despite my best efforts. I remember every time I had a test and told her "ill do my best" she said "Your best isn't good enough!". And this went on for years, they forced me to keep going even though I was not built for it. The result? Im 27 yo and jobless. And I cant get a job for retards because my parents didnt get the legal setup required when i was young.
